Job purpose:

The Delivery Services Team is part of the Information Technology function and is responsible for the support, development, integration and strategic direction of business system across the Community Fibre Ltd.

The role of Business Analyst is responsible for documenting current business processes, systems and providing a conduit for software and system change, in addition to other technology related activities.

Working with the technical subject matter experts to develop specifications for both functional and non-function requirements to a standard expected and understood by the business stake holders.  Providing workshops and performing general requirement gathering activities at the start and during the full lifecycle of the project. Other activities will include system specification authoring, test scripting, testing, analysis activities, sign off of integration activities and cross training additional resource in the support of these applications.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take part in the creation of solutions design and implementation.
  • Manage change control between development and production environments in relation to the systems and services within your care.
  • Develop, implement procedures and associated training plans for administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery for the systems are services in your care.
  • Assist in establishing service level agreements with end users.
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • To maintain appropriate records of time spent, actions taken and item status to facilitate management, future problem resolution and to keep users informed of progress.
  • To keep users up to date with progress and to liaise with colleagues and partners in an appropriate manner. To liaise with users regarding escalated issues and to agree appropriate courses of action and priorities.
  • Participate in the development of Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning.
  • To assist in other activities of within Information Technology function as directed.

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • Experience with process modelling, analysis and simulation tools using relevant business process standards including UML and BPMN.
  • Prior experience with end user requirements gathering.
  • Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Experience of working to and exceeding targets.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard.
