We are not the new kid on the block, we were established in 2013 and have been disrupting the Broadband industry in London since then. Some recent key achievements include:

  • We raised £400m investment in 2020 from large institutions to secure our ambitious growth plans.
  • We have acquired over 500,000 wayleaves across Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Landlords in London to support that growth.
  • We have deployed our 100% full fibre network to over 200,000 premises to deliver the growth, which is rapidly moving towards 1 million in 2023.

Job purpose:

Reporting to our Wayleave Director, the Bid Manager will be responsible for seeking out opportunities for Community Fibre to submit proposals relevant to its networking services. They will maintain our entries on relevant procurement frameworks and work across our organisation to compile compelling proposals to ensure that the company competes successfully for relevant bid opportunities.

Bid opportunities are likely to arise from a wide range of potential clients including landlords, other network operators who want to wholesale our full fibre network, and collaborations with other technology providers. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Monitoring for RFI/RFPs that are suitable for Community Fibre.
  • Managing the bid process and collating information from across the organisation for each bid.
  • Writing, submitting and presenting compelling bids with the Commercial owner that win Community Fibre new business.
  • Gathering insight on any failed bids to ensure continuous improvement is made.

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • At least three years’ experience of compiling and submitting successful proposals
  • Excellent proposal writing skills with a track record of submitting winning bids.
  • The ability to present our proposals in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Proficient user of office software packages.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of the potential of FTTH technology.
  • Understanding of the key public sector technology procurement frameworks.
  • Ideally one, or a combination of; Property and Telecommunications sector experience or similar.
