We are not the new kid on the block, we were established in 2013 and some of our key achievements since then include:

  • Raised £400m investment from large institutions.
  • Acquired over 360,000 wayleaves across Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Landlords.
  • Deployed our full fibre infrastructure to over 100,000 premises.

Job purpose:

Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer the Bid Manager will be responsible for seeking out opportunities for Community Fibre to submit proposals relevant to its networking services. They will maintain our entries on relevant procurement frameworks and work across our organisation to compile compelling proposals to ensure that the company competes successfully for relevant bid opportunities.

Bid opportunities are likely to arise from a wide range of potential clients including landlords, other network operators who want to wholesale our full fibre network, and collaborations with other technology providers. Over time it is expected the Bid Manager will build a small team to successfully manage the volume of bids that the company will become involved with.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Monitoring for RFI/RFPs that are suitable for Community Fibre.
  • Managing the bid process and collating information from across the organisation for each bid.
  • Writing, submitting and presenting compelling bids that win Community Fibre new business.
  • Gathering insight on any failed bids to ensure continuous improvement is made.
  • Build a high-performance team as the volume of proposals grows.

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • At least three years’ experience of compiling and submitting successful proposals in similar organisations.
  • Excellent proposal writing skills with a track record of submitting winning bids.
  • The ability to present our proposals in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Proficient user of office software packages.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of the potential of FTTH technology.
  • Understanding of the key public sector technology procurement frameworks.
  • Ideally one, or a combination of; Property and Telecommunications sector experience or similar.
