Job purpose:

The Operations Analyst will work across the Operations Team owning improvement projects, operational reporting and KPIs. You will also lead perform analysis on our operational teams and contractors in order to understand efficiencies, performance and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.


You will be working day-to day with our Head of Operations Improvement, Programme and Project managers, and also with Contractors to understand and map operational processes. You will also analyse data to quantify operational performance.


Your main goal will be to accelerate up the build of our fibre network while ensuring our customer installations are as effective as possible.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify, create and drive implementation of improvement projects
  • Work with our Project and Programme Managers to understand the current status of our operational processes and work alongside our operational teams to implement change
  • Create and provide MI on the plan and build pipeline
  • Assuring the sequencing across our different programmes
  • Developing our contractor ramp-up plans
  • Flagging medium (and long term) risks to our plan.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis capability to the Operations Leadership Team
  • Drive the implementation of new systems and processes that support the operations team


The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • Highly numerate and analytical - experience of running operational analysis or improvement project programs within a consulting organisation or internal improvements team
  • Comfortable and confident interacting at all levels in our organisation
  • Keen to continually increase the value that can be added by the role and their team
  • Advanced users of analysis tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, Python, R) with the ability to handle large data sets and perform complex analyses
  • Some familiarity with, or a desire to learn the Salesforce Platform would be beneficial
  • Some familiarity with, or a desire to learn GIS would be beneficial
  • Experience in fibre optic network deployment would be an advantage, but is not a pre-requisite
