Job purpose:


The Data Availability team is part of the Information Technology function and is responsible for the support, development and integration of the Business Intelligence environment across the Community Fibre Ltd.


The role of the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will collaborate with all other departments of our company. The BI analyst is also in charge of the advancement, alignment, and positioning of analytics, and will enable organisation to access key metrics by transforming data in our data lake.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Participate in development and implementation of BI solutions, including queries, views, reports and dashboards
  • Synthesize data and feedback from users, clients, and management
  • Articulately and concisely explain the implications of complex data
  • Assist in establishing service level agreements with end users
  • To assist in other activities of within Information Technology function as directed

 

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:


  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or Data Scientist role with detailed knowledge of MS SQL Server , MongoDB and Postgres
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, database design, optimizing queries, internals knowledge of query planning. Python would be an advantage
  • Significant experience of PowerBI (DAX)
  • Experience of Azure environment, including Azure Data Factory
  • Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools
  • Experience of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality, ETL processes, OLAP concepts, meta data concepts and project methodology an advantage
  • Experience with GIS is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 security standard
