  • We raised £400m investment in 2020 from large institutions to secure our ambitious growth plans.
  • We have acquired over 500,000 wayleaves across Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Landlords in London to support that growth.
  • We have deployed our 100% full fibre network to over 300,000 premises to deliver the growth, which is rapidly moving towards 1 million in 2023.

Job purpose:

Overall, you will be a core member of Community Fibre’s Digital Customer Acquisition Squad with the mission to make Community Fibre the fastest growing fibre network in London, bringing internet speeds of up to 3 Gbps to Londoners to get London ready to be a technology leader.


As a Web Quality Assurance Intern, you will be responsible for ensuring all new website functionality and AB tests are tested to the highest standard prior to implementation. Our objective is to provide the best customer experience and acquire customers with amazing content and features. You will collaborate with our Web Product and Conversion Rate Optimisation teams to deliver this mission.


Community Fibre is transforming into a digital leader to enable our fast growth to 1m households by 2023. We’re a team of doers and move at the highest possible pace.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop, modify and execute software test plans with the Web Product Owner and Digital Conversion Product Owner to ensure the exemplary quality of Community Fibre’s website.
  • Specification of individual test cases, including pre and post-conditions with expected results.
  • Support the delivery of the team's sprint goals in an Agile software development cycle.
  • Coordinate with other team members to perform rigorous testing, collect detailed feedback, track bugs and report findings.
  • Work closely with the Web Product team’s Business Analyst to understand and demonstrate newly implemented functionality and requirements.


The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • Recent graduate in Software Engineering or similar Bachelor’s degree.
  • Understanding of basic software engineering concepts, software testing life cycles, and Agile development.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies with experience in any of the following specific areas being a bonus: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSON.
  • Familiarity with JIRA is a bonus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive team player able to work adeptly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for quality assurance and testing of consumer facing websites.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and master new technologies.
