Job purpose:


As a Business Analyst, you will use your knowledge, skills and experience to help Community Fibre Limited (CFL) solve business, information and technology related opportunities and problems. This role is specifically focussed on the development of our customer billing capability providing a high capacity, high reliability service with an excellent user experience for customers and internal users.


Taking the lead for Community Fibre work on Billing and Payments whilst working in a team of Business Analysts in develop current business processes, systems and providing a conduit for software and system change, in addition to other technology related activities.


You will work with the commercial, financial and technical subject matter experts to develop specifications for both functional and non-function requirements to a standard expected and understood by the business stake holders. Providing workshops and performing general requirement gathering activities at the start and during the full lifecycle of the project. Other activities will include system specification authoring, test scripting, testing, analysis activities, sign-off of integration activities and cross training additional resource in the support of these applications.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Communicate effectively across organisational and technical boundaries, understanding the context and communicate with business people and management, on their terms. 
  • At the team level, work with Business Analysts; product delivery teams; Project Managers and Solution Architects, adopting and using a best practice approach to Business Analysis
  • At the portfolio level, work with the key business stakeholders and Project Management Office to establish the right processes for managing a portfolio of work according to the strategic direction and priorities of the business
  • Represent and be an advocate for Business Analysis tools and techniques, be innovative and keep up to date with the latest trends
  • Situational awareness of what others are working on and that that working practices are iterated to achieve effective delivery
  • Maintains delivery momentum and solves issues and unlocks problems
  • Recognise how people best work together, facilitating the best team makeup depending on the situation and help teams maintain a focus on delivery whilst being aware of the importance of professional development
  • Create open and collaborative environment to work in, be flexible, adaptable and have a willingness to learn
  • Take part in the creation of solutions design and implementation, with particular attention given to Requirement’s analysis; Security Design & Architecture; Product Evaluation; Project Initiation Documentation; Implementation and Review and Validation
  • Ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential use within the Enterprise
  • Establish a feedback loop for teams and has responsibility for the translation and measurement of value (what you put in and what you get out)
  • Engage in elements of risk management such as effectively managing and tracking the mitigation of risks and manage various dependencies across teams, departments and governance as a whole


The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

 

  • Prior experience with end user requirements gathering – especially high-volume customer billing including subscription services and variable charging as well as payment methods
  • Experience of defining requirements for customer self-service related to billing and payment
  • Prior experience with end user requirements gathering working with the billing experts and customer service end users
  • Hands on experience of developing test cases and test plans in a high-volume billing environment
  • Experience of managing and/or engaging with multiple vendors on new high profile and technologically innovative enterprise wide solutions
  • Familiarity with Project Management and Agile Methodologies and processes
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Experience of working to and exceeding targets
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Standard
  • Extensive knowledge of the development lifecycle within the telecommunications industry
  • Advanced in Jira Skills
  • Budgetary control and resource allocation procedures
  • Assist in establishing Service Level Agreements with end users
