Community Fibre Ltd (CFL) is the preeminent provider in London of full fibre services to Consumers and Businesses. As part of CFL expansion plans we acquired a majority stake in Box Broadband (Box) a fast-growing business which operates across the southeast of England.

Job purpose:

As Business Development Manager - Wayleaves you will have a direct reporting line to the CFL Wayleave Director with a (strong) dotted line to the Box Operations Director. In this role you will be dedicated to supporting the Box team in developing deep relationships with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Landlords and Private Individuals. You will work closely with the Box teams to ensure wayleaves and permits are in place across the Box target build areas. You will have full access to the CFL wayleaves teams, their databases and systems and existing contacts with Landlords.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and own the wayleaves process and procurement of wayleaves from landlords across all live projects both urban and rural
  • Negotiate and administer wayleave agreements or associated consents in line with regulatory requirements
  • Work effectively alongside the Planning and Project Management  teams to ensure projects are delivered within KPI’s
  • Track and report on all wayleave activity, identifying gaps in process and procedure and ways of achieving better outcomes
  • Responsible for setting the process behind all wayleave activity across the business
  • Understand all aspects of wayleave processing
  • Communicating and liaising with customers, Landowners and/or their Agents

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • A minimum of five years of Business Development or Sales is required.
  • You will have extensive experience in Wayleave Management ideally within the Telecoms/ Fibre industry. Understanding of FTTP networks and build methods is desirable.
  • Strong organisation, negotiation and communication skills are a must.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite are required.
